Click here for info on the April 22 Piano Concert of Gurdjieff/de Hartmann music

A century ago, George Ivanovich Gurdjieff first taught a system of esoteric ideas and practical methods designed to provide modern man an opportunity for self-development. This oral tradition is preserved by a small number of people dedicated to the search for objective self-knowledge and understanding of man's place and function in creation. The Gurdjieff Foundation of Prescott is part of the Foundation established by Mr. Gurdjieff and Madame de Salzmann in Paris and New York. Group work in Arizona includes inner exercises, readings and discussions, questions and answers, work weekends, music, and movements (sacred dance).

People interested in contacting the Prescott group or learning about the upcoming concert on April 22, please go to the Piano Concert page.

The energy spent on active inner work is then and there transformed into a fresh supply, but that spent on passive work is lost forever.
